Parade of Lights

Mark your calendar! The Parade of Lights takes place November 30th, 2019, at 5:30 pm. All participants are requested to come to the staging area by turning south onto Stittsville Main Street from Hazeldean Road, where you will be directed by the parade marshal.

^{The parade will start at 6:00 pm sharp, heading south to Abbott Street where it will disperse after turning right onto Abbott Street, pick up is expected around 7pm}

The Stittsville Village Associations annual Parade of Lights is a community favourite, drawing thousands of spectators along the parade route. Each year, dozens of beautifully decorated community floats set the tone for Santa’s much anticipated arrival at the end of the parade.

Parents and cadets are also encouraged to stay for the lighting of Village Square Park, as well as a Christmas Market @ The Barn beside Village Square Park after the parade, and to share in some hot chocolate, cookies, and a visit with Santa. In the spirit of the season, the Lions Club will be collecting donations for the Stittsville Food Bank.

Cadets can be picked up at the Village Square Park after the parade.

*Students can earn 3-4 hours of community service.
