WHO WE ARE
872 Kiwanis Kanata Air Cadet Squadron has been an active member of our community, training youth in west Ottawa since 1980
In partnership with the Canadian Armed Forces and the Air Cadet League of Canada, The Air Cadet Program provides opportunities for youth to gain valuable knowledge and skills that build confidence and help pave the way in a transition to adulthood.
Offering positive youth development programs, air cadet squadrons are in communities across Canada. The Program strives to offer cadets a safe, welcoming, and supportive program environment where all feel respected, valued, included and able to achieve their full potential.
WE OFFER
Technical Courses
Learn more about the various aviation-related trades, air traffic control, how to operate an airport, and piloting a drone.
Teams and Clubs
Learn more about the various teams and such as Band, Ceremonial Drill, Air Rifle Marksmanship, Biathlon, Rocketry, Drones, and more.
Survival Skills Training
Air Cadet Program includes training in forest survival skills, with annual outdoor adventure exercises (FTX) .
Flight Opportunities
Air Cadet Program members have opportunities to fly in airplanes or gliders.

2. This website is intended for use by the cadets and parents of 872 RCACS, and prospective cadets and their parents, staff and Local Committee. The objective is to provide basic information about the function of the corps/squadron and to inform cadets, parents and the local community about the Cadet Program and various events that will be taking place.
