DRONE PROGRAM Jan 6.

The program lasts seven weeks (Jan 6th – Feb 24th) from 7-9 pm at « Maurice-Lapointe Elementary Public School » , six of which are classes; the last week is a drone race. Classes mix theory and actual flying while covering multiple areas, and rely extensively on simulator practice at home due to limited flight time; for this reason you must bring your own mobile device. Maximum number of students is 10, also due to limited flight time. Applicants must be in Grade 9 or higher, and priority will be given to older and more senior cadets. At the end of the program you will know how to fly regular and racing drones properly and safely, as well as some drone filming techniques. You will also have everything you need to prepare for the drone pilot exam from Transport Canada. If you have been selected and don’t have a mobile device you can ask Mr. Lopez at the SSC for a loaner. We have very few loaners, and they will be given first come, first serve upon payment of a security deposit.

Drone program offer courses to help you prepare for online exams and flight reviews. We recommend taking a course before attempting an online exam.
