Mess Dinner / Washington Trip Refunds

Due to the cancellation over COVID-19 many cadet activities have had to be cancelled. The following is how the squadron will be handling refunds for the March Break Trip to Washington and the Mess Dinner.

March Break Trip to Washington: For anyone that has not yet emailed the 872 Treasurer regarding your refund please do so ASAP at 872.treasurer@cadetsair.ca. Please email him from the email account that you would like the e-transfer sent to.  Please include the name(s) of the cadets that you had on the trip.  With most e-transfers a security question is required to be answered, the answer to this question will be “Washington trip”. If for whatever reason you do not have an account that accepts e-transfers please email the treasure with you home mailing address so we can issue you a refund by cheque instead.

Mess Dinner: Under normal circumstances we would return these types of fee’s in cash however because we have been shut down until September 2020 that is not possible at this time. The SSC would like to wait until the next cadet year to issue the refunds in September. The reason for this is the small value of the fee ($10) and the number of participants (almost 100). The SSC pays a service fee for every e-transfer so the cost / labour involved in issuing the refunds is prohibitive. Please note that if you paid by Cheque we will NOT cash your cheque and will return it to you in September.

If anyone cannot wait until the next cadet year please email the treasurer 872.treasurer@cadetsair.ca and we will make arrangements to get you your refund.
