Outaouais Music Clinic – November 16
A reminder to band cadets interested in attending the Outaouais Music clinic, taking place on Saturday, November 6. Please watch Teams for details from the Band Officer.
Poppy Sales Campaign
These shifts count towards volunteer community service hours and will go a long way to showing our comrades in the Legion how much we appreciate their support, and honour our veterans.
*Details about Remembrance Day Ceremonies will be communicated soon.
Supply Night – Recruit Flight “Delta”
This Friday’s Supply Night is limited to Recruit Flight “Delta” for initial uniform issue.
Please bring only one parent (due to limited space in the facility) and a bag to carry your kit home. Please, no baggy clothes or excessive layers, so cadets can try things on.
Supply Location: Dymon Storage Kanata, 6:30pm to 8:00pm

This Saturday, the Marksmanship shoot is scheduled for all cadets in rank “cadet” or “LAC” who have not yet completed their Rifle Safe Handling Course and first shoot. Please come to the Kanata Legion (70 Hines Rd. Kanata) this Saturday, November 2, between 8:30am and 12:00pm.
Biathlon Practice
Biathlon practice will resume this Saturday, November 2 at
Connaught Ranges (Shirley’s Bay entrance).
Saturday’s practice is open to returning biathletes. Meet at the cadet ranges by 5 Brouillette. (See map below)
Open try outs will be announced in the coming weeks for new athletes. If you’ve been on the team before and want to join again, please notify the Team Captain on Teams.
Questions should be directed to the Team Captain.
Fitness Trackers
It has been more than 4 weeks since the Fitness Trackers were handed out. Please turn in the completed Fitness Tracker to your Flight Commander’s as soon as possible.
SSC Community Engagement Corner
A special thank you
to all the cadets who came out to the Community Engagement Day last Saturday at Cabela’s Kanata, and made it a great success!
Annual Spaghetti Dinner and Auction: November 23rd 2024. 6:30pm at the John G. Mlacak Community Centre, 2500 Campeau Dr, Kanata, ON K2K 2W3 in Halls A,B,C,D. Enter through the main doors and follow the signs.
Silent and live auctions will take place during and following dinner. Get your tickets early!
Have fun, support the Squadron, do some early Christmas shopping or treat yourself.
