Halloween Party Next Wednesday, October 30

Next Wednesday is the squadron Halloween party. Cadets are encouraged to wear their best costume for a chance to win prizes! (if not wearing a costume, civvies are allowed).

There will be games, snacks, and lots of fun!

Poppy Campaign

As part of our Canadian Armed Forces engagement and our partnership with Royal Canadian Legion Branch 638 (Kanata), who supports our squadron with donations and training facilities, in addition to the Royal Canadian Legion Cadet Medal of Excellence, we are looking for cadets to sell poppies.

Each cadet is encouraged to support the Poppy Sales Campaign by signing up for a 3 hour shift at one of the sales locations in Kanata. Please see the form here to register.

These shifts count towards volunteer community service hours and will go a long way to showing our comrades in the Legion how much we appreciate their support, and honour our veterans.

*Details about Remembrance Day Ceremonies will be communicated soon.

Band Practice, October 31 – Cancelled and New Date Announced

Band practice for next Thursday, October 31 is cancelled.

Band will meet at a special time, Tuesday November 5, from 19h00 to 21h00 at Glen Cairn Public School Gymnasium.

A try out will be held for the remaining spots. This will be open to ALL LEVELS, and selections made based on the criteria of a multi-loop 2km run and marksmanship shoot. Experience in cross-country skiing is an asset.
