Supply Night – Recruit Charlie

This Friday’s Supply Night is limited to Recruit Flight “Charlie” for initial uniform issue.

Please bring only one parent (due to limited space in the facility) and a bag to carry your kit home. Please, no baggy clothes or excessive layers, so cadets can try things on.

Supply Location: Dymon Storage Kanata, 6:30pm to 8:00pm

Gliding Familiarization Day

For those signed up for this Saturday’s Gliding, be sure to check the Gliding Teams chat for details. Bring with you: 

  • lunch and snacks,
  • water bottle,
  • hat
  • sunscreen

Report to AY Jackson at 7:45am to sign in and board the busses. Return ETA is 4:45pm.

This event is weather dependent! Check Teams Friday night and Saturday morning for cancellations. 

If you can no longer attend, please notify OCdt Ginn via Teams. 

Biathlon Practice: Saturday, October 19, 9:00am to 12:00pm. Connaught Ranges (Shirley’s Bay entrance) 

Saturday’s practice is open to returning biathletes. Meet at the cadet ranges by 5 Brouillette. (See map below) 

Open try outs will be announced in the coming weeks for new athletes. If you’ve been on the team before and want to join again, please sign up on the Teams form. 

Questions should be directed to the Team Captain on Teams.

Level 2B Night Hike – Wednesday, October 23
Cadets from level 2B will be participating in a night hike during Wednesday’s training session.  The cadets from 2B will report to the front lobby after attendance has been taken by their flight commander.  They are to wear FTUs with:
  • layered clothing, suitable for the cold weather (including a jacket, toque and gloves)
  • appropriate comfortable and good fitting footwear, such as hiking boots, field training boots or suitable outdoor shoes.  No parade boots.
  • headlamp 
  • water bottle

Fall FTX 2024 (Field Training Exercise)

Permission forms were sent out for FTX, and posted here and on Teams for those who wish to print from home.

Any cadet wishing to attend the Fall FTX must return the signed permission slip and $5 to secure their place, no later than October 23. If the cadet attends the FTX, they will receive a $5 voucher for the canteen.

A full kit list is included for cadets to keep and use for packing for the event. Transportation and meals are included.
