The Drone Training Program introduces cadets to the fundamentals of drone flight, safety protocols, mission planning, and hands-on piloting skills. Through engaging activities and practical experience, cadets will explore the exciting world of drones and gain knowledge aligned with Transport Canada regulations.
February 5 (1 Hour): Safety, Rules, and First Practice
Objective: Introduce cadets to drone safety and rules, then engage them with a hands-on flight experience to spark interest.
Content:
- Overview of Canadian drone laws and safety regulations.
- A brief introduction to pre-flight checklists and preparation.
Activity:
- Hands-on drone practice: basic controls and simple maneuvers.
- Demonstration of a basic drone in flight.
- Homework: research and list three ways drones are used in different industries.
